Why Become a Certified Nursing Assistant?
This is the best time to become a CNA. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of nursing assistants is projected to increase 8 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster compared to other occupations. As the baby boom population ages, the demand for nursing assistants will grow significantly in order to care for elderly patients in long-term care facilities. In addition, growing rates of dementia and several chronic conditions will consequently lead to increased demand for patient care. The national average hourly rate for CNA’s has increased by almost 5% in 2020, and rates continue in an upward trend.
